Default Tire options on a 400ex

OK, so I have a 2000 400ex that I just bought brand new wheels and tires for back in February. I went with ITP Holeshot GNCC on ITC SS Alloy wheels. I love them. However, I tend to ride on a lot of hard packed and some times paved surfaces. So I'm Looking for some new tires to put on the stock wheels I still have that will keep me from rubbing off all the ***** on my Holeshots.

since I'm using he stock wheels, the stock tire size is 20x10-9 in the rear and 22x7-10 up front. The tires I'm looking at are Kenda Road Go and Kenda Speed Racer. However, the closest match to stock tire size is 20x11-9 for the rear and 21x11-10 in the front.

With that said, will those tires fit OK on my stock rims or should I look around for an exact stock size?

Well, those you listed I believe are for road use in places it's legal. They would be pretty useless off road. You said you have the ITP GNCC tires. The standard ITP Holeshots are ideal for hard surfaces. Pavement once in a while won't hurt them much.

ITP Turf tamers will be a less aggressive than the Holeshots but, better than the kenda's you mentioned.

One thing to keep in mind is that the 400EX being solid rear axle will be tuff on any tires you put on it.

OK thanks for the input.

Where I live, law enforcement doesn't worry about the tires when riding on public roads, county roads, or even the interstate as long as it's plated and has a horn and mirror. So legality wise I'm not too worried. In fact, the other day I passed a raptor on the interstate.

If they would work, I would even like to ride my ex to work on occasion. But I will look at the turf takers you mentioned.

Forgot to mention I'm planning on having two entirely separate wheels and tires that I can just swap out depending on where I'm riding.
