I am looking for a new utility atv in the 600-700cc class. It will be for ranch work including cattle herding. A CVT (automatic) transmission is required. I looked at a Honda TRX680 today with a 3 speed automotive type tranny. I have experience with belt drive and belts are relatively cheap. Please advise me on the Rincon with the auto tranny as I am apprehensive of the durability and maintenance costs.

Be great for ranch work and rounding up cattle! But the ranch should be very heavy pullings!! Great transmission reliable BUT not an work horse low power!! But very smooth shift and easy to ride! I am not an big belt drive fan!!!What type of ranch work are you going to be doing with an ATV?

 

Thank You for the response! Mostly rounding up, checking cattle and inspecting fence lines. Recreational riding also. I have a Diesel Kubota RTV for heavier work and light pulling.
