same here- as soon as you wheel a used atv off the lot- you're 100% responsible for the bike. At MOM's in NH- they won't even let you load the new atv on the trailer- when I bought my 09 xp850 they loaded it- no matter how much I told them I was all set
but i guess if the guy wants to keep a happy customer, he'll offer something to offset the repair costs. I agree with scoot- I would've brought up cost expectations before anyone touched the bike.

Well, there is a lemon law in kentucky which says he has obligations.. but im not going to start that in here, with folks who like to argue.. Just putting that out there, but i would never make him do anything, im just not like that unless its someone who drives a prius
.
So it DID drop a valve, the chain tensioner was loose, what the clicking was, and the valve came down on my piston. (notice the attached pictures)
So, he did the neighborly thing, and i'll keep on buying a lot of stuff i dont need from him
, by the way, anyone know how to use roll-off goggles? Got them and can't figure it out...
Oh yeah, and when I buy a new 4 wheeler I'M going to load it, if they want to act like their better than me and im some punk.. i'd back out of it... or something..
Thanks for the help and support guys, maybe this post will help someone else.

Anyway, it sounds like you're happy with the result so I'm happy for you.

A lot of states are the same because of the nature of how an ATV is used.

I would think, lemon law or not, that dealers would want to keep a good reputation and do the right thing. Word gets around fast in the ATV world, and with the market as bad as it is right now, I would think that dealers would want all the more to do what is right to keep present customers as well as attract new ones.

Good to hear.
Lemon laws usually pertain to new/newer vehicles. Reputation or not, if a used vehicle is sold "As is" like most are, they aren't responsible for anything that happens once you sign the dotted line. And it is nice the dealer is going the extra step and fixing it for him, if a dealer did that for all used items, they'd be a former dealer pretty quickly.

You from around these parts?
Hes not a new vehicle dealer, He just has a shop with a lot of used stuff for sale, some rzrs, goggles, he can order parts though. Sort of a race shop/sales shop/all around atv shop.
