Default 2004 Rancher 400 at

Hello;

I am considering a 2004 Rancher 400AT to join my Foreman in the stable. The machine has 980 miles and appears to be in great shape. At 2800 it seems to be a good deal as well. I hear a lot of issues surrounding that transmission and am wondering if Honda or aftermarket sources has provided a fix or is the problem enough of an issue to worry about.

Thanks;

Ekhunter

Here is a site I like, Its full actual "owner" reviews. They rate the on a 5 star rating 5 being the best. They seem to like the machine from the looks of things. Vehicle Reviews for 2004 Honda FourTrax® Rancher® AT TRX400FA

I have a 2004 400 AT, it is the only one my wife will drive and we have over 4000 miles on it. It handles the mountains with ease, she pulls a yard cart aound loaded and we have not have any issues.
