2005 Rancher 4x2
#1
Picked up my new atv and have a few questions.
One: It has 1800 miles and 180 hours, I have no idea whether or not the valves have been adjusted but I think it needs it. How many miles between adjustments.
Two: The Rancher lives at 9500 feet above sea level and I am wondering what is the best air filter and jet sizes for that altitude. I have no idea whether or not the jets have been changed but I need to look. Honda has high altitude jets but I do not know what they are for this machine, a source of information would be helpful.
Three: The plastics are a bit dull, anybody have a way to shine them up.
Thanks

9500 feet ??? Wow. I would say that it wouldn't run at all if it had the original jets in it. If it runs good, I'd say the jet job has been done. But if not, just buy the ones Honda has for high altitude. They're cheap and it's an easy job. I use armor all to shine the plastics up. Valves? Easy job again. I'd say just do an adjustment anyway. Can't hurt and it's easy. And nice machine. Too bad it's not the 4wd but still, nice machine. Get a manual.
