2001 Honda rubicon 500 with flashing -- and d1 d2 esp flash constantly.Does not shift properly & electric shift does not work at all & it misfires in reverse,Did the reinitialization also,was flashing code 1 & code 3 -this unit has jsut had new hondamatic installed w/ new oilpump.new gear position sensor & new angle sensor.cleaned tested shift motor,took wire harness cover off and have tested every wire in harness for continuity.i am down to the tests on page 23-24 of the 2001-2003 rubicon service manual i am having trouble with.first test is checking continuity of wires on the combination meter connector on main wire harness side and the ecm connector wires.these tested good.next test is connect ecm connector.shift gear lever to L range & mode switch at ESP. turn ignition switch on,check for continuity between each of the following wire terminals of the main harness side meter connectors and the frame ground. Yellow/Orange - Pink/Blue - Blue/White - Light Blue and Blue wires. there must be continuity at the Pink/blue wire and Light blue wire only. I have no continuity on any wires except the Yellow/orange which blinks as fast as the display would blink if it was hooked up. book says replace combination meter,but i am thinking the ECM is bad. Has anyone ran into this before ??Can you help ?? Which one would you replace first ?? Thanks for the help !!
