Unhappy Honda TRX 125 Spark Issues -Help Please-

I was riding my bike one day and it started to slowly lose power until it cut out and now it appears it has no spark! Ive read the other threads on this issue and have tried the following changed the coil from a mtx125 i had still didn't work, changed the cdi from mtx as well still no spark checked round the wires for and grounding on frame, tried different ignition still noting and also checked kill switch and it seems ok! Now i no the coil etc from the mtx were ok but could it be that the parts from the mtx are not compatible! Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated!

you may have done this but not stated this, but did you change the spark plug? losing power? i presume just laboring to run rather than bogging down? any smoke? what color was the end of the plug? i try to go to the easier things before i move on to the more complex/expensive items. do you have any multimeter measurements at the coil wire or CDI? trigger output?

It slowly just started to lose revs and died out, then wouldn't start, the plug was a little black but was pretty clean. I tried the spark plug from my lawn mower which is a good one and it has no spark either! Im waiting for my brother in law to come over with his meter so i can take readings from coil etc! Thanks for the reply!

I had similar issue on the same model and there was a short near the headlight. It sparked when the plastics were off, but once I put it back together no spark, much less fun the second time.
