Default Break-in

OK,

The top end rebuild is done, new piston and all. I'm running 93 octane.

1st 2 times of riding (30 min sections) for 2 straight days, rode very easy.

3rd and 4th days i've been a little more.

+ days, i've been playing with it, giving it a little more and more..

So i've got about 1/2 tank left, and i'm wondering what i should do next. Take it easy on her?

Once i get 2 tanks through i plan on adjusting valves and checking carb jetting and all. New plug.. etc.

Is there anything else i should do? Am i missing anything?

I can only reference new yamaha motors...which should be similar break-in. 200 miles with varied throttle under half, and 200 miles with varied throttle under 3/4. After 400 miles you can be as stupid as you want!!! (Not the exact words from the manual)!

Honda advises 20 hours or 100 miles.

go with the above link. I have broken in about 8 engines using this method and it works. I wouldn't exactly "ride it like I stole it" but don't be afraid to get on it or to totally chop the throttle going downhill in a lower gear, etc.
