Default Where does this part go?

2004 400 EX. It's some kind of a check valve for oil, but I cannot for the life of me remember where it goes. I've looked for about an hour, tried all different kinds of parts diagrams, and still nothing. Any ideas?

Just removed and rebuilt the engine, trying to get it all back in right now. I'm 99% sure it wasn't inside the engine because I kept the external parts separate.

I guess it looks like the ultimate question isn't where it goes, but will it run without it.

Sorry, I don't have a clue on this one.

I looked through the diagrams. The only valve (oil related) I found was part of the oil pump. Hope it helps???

Yeah we saw that but it's a bit different in design. I have it all back together minus a new battery (charging as we speak). I'm going to run it and see if the oil pressure is out of whack.
