Recon Ft. brake upgrade question? 250ex brake swap
Just refurbished a beat down 2006 Recon for my Daughter.
These Front brakes SUCK... My 98 Recon has good working drum front brakes, so I know what to do to make these work OK too.
BUT
as I am preparing to rebuild the (BAD) front master cylinder...
What are the odds of swapping out the Honda 250EX front spindle and disk brake assembly (master / caliper / rotor / ect..) with the Recon. Both bikes are very similar???? Recon front brakes have long been a sore subject for most.

The 250EX is basically a Recon with sport plastic, I would take a quick look at one to compare the a arm set up and spindle mounting, but sounds like it should be pretty doable with a donor quad for parts..........eBay, here we come !!
