Default honda trx450r or yamaha raptor 660???

i have a yamaha warrior right now but i want a new quad. ive been looking at the raptor 660 and trx450r and cant decide between the 2. i only trail ride. i like to go fast and do stupid stuff so i need something reliable and tough. which do you guys think is a more relaible quad? another thing i read is that the 450 doesnt have reverse. reverse is almost a necesity for me but i can probably make do without it if its more reliable than than the 660. any thoughts?

id pick a 400ex or z400 over a 660 raptor. 05 and up 400ex's have reverse, but between the two you mentioned definetley go with the 450. it will out handle and and accelerate a 660 stock for stock

Honda is better option!! Definitive symbol of sophistication, the Honda Atvs stands out with stylish exterior sheet metal.

Both bikes are good choices...some of the 660 Raptors had transmission problems. Your better buy would be the 700 Raptor if you can swing the cost...700 had fuel injection, reverse, and a much better suspension than the 660.

Honda 450R is hardly the field leader in 450 class technology, but they don't use sheet metal in their stylish exterior either. It's great for playing around, but there is no substitute for having a reverse gear when you need it, especially if you are tired after a long ride.

Well, I wouldn't spend a lot of money on whatever you get.

Stupid hurts and it ain't cheap to fix.

I don't know. The paint they use on the fenders is so cheap, it almost makes them feel like plastic.
