Unhappy 2002 400ex clutch?!?!?

I have a 2002 400ex with a stock motor and an fmf slip on. i am going to be buying a full HMF ehaust with a k&n air filter and an Hmf jet kit.depending on how much i need to spend on a clutch kit i was thinking about getting a stage 2 hot cam. i want to get as much power as i can without losing the reliability. My clutch is starting to slip pretty bad, so i pulled it out and checked it. i know that the friction plates are bad but i dont know the specs for the steel plates. they are .80
my question is what would be a really good clutch set up?
1. oem steel and friction plates with barnett hd springs
2 barnett plates with hd springs(i read a review that a guy said he bought the kevlar one and messed his motor up cuz one of the frition plates chipped or something like that and the piece went into his motor. and the only kits i can find online are the kevlar one i cant find the carbon fiber ones)
3 would this work? Barnett friction plates with my stock steel plates and barnett hd springs.
what would be a good setup?

I have always used the Tusk clutch kit, plates, fibers, and springs. Best $50 ever spent. The kit can easily handle a built 400ex.

Iam getting ready to start a build on my 400ex. Done lots of research and asked lots of questions. 9 out of 10 people have told me not to bother with a aftermarket header unless the motor is built. Cost vs gains in power with a header is not there. If the header costs 250, thats about the same price as a 11:1 - 416 piston and stage 2 hot cam.

its what ever you prefer for your clutches, just make sure you soak your plates over night in engine oil before installing. as you have it apart check if your outer "basket" that your plate slid inand see if its smooth, after a while your plates will make grooves where they hit. reliablity isnt really an issue with a honda, i have an oversized wisco 416 piston in my 2001 400ex and 3 years later still running.
