Anyone ever install one of these? I was out in the desert in Utah, doing some night riding- and I thought a nice little haze, glowing under me would be a nice touch.

I've seen them on the street crotch-rockets.

any web-links?

Thanks

I have ground effects neon on my Mustang and the tubes are fairly delicate <sp I don't think they would survive long on an atv, first jump or unruly rock and that would be the end of your tubes unless u put them behind some really strong plexi-glass or something of the sort, even then I don't think they would fare well with hard landings from a jump.

They make those plastic neon lights for the inside of your car that hook up to the battery. You can probaly find them at your local Car Audio/Detailing store. It's kinda expensive like 50$ for 10 foot or something like that.

I have them on both my GMC Jimmy, and my 400ex, used a short stick for my quad, dont recall off hand how long, it looks really cool when going for those night rides!

Went to a car radio store the other day, they had those neon lights but they were 2 in a package, they were about the size of a pencil (little bit shorter) each, ran on 12v! Next time I am down there I am going to pick them up, they had blue, yellow, and purple, I also thought about the fact that they probally would only last a ride but I think if you put a couple layers of clear rubber tube around it it will be all set? Anyways I also thought it was pretty cool, they are perfect size and right voltage.

I was in k-mart the other day and by their automotive paint section, they had this lighted
tape that came in a roll( I think it was 20 ft. and you could get two different colors...this is probably what you guys are looking for.....put on
like a pinstripe and plug it in....

The 400 ex stator doesn't put out much wattage if you hook up to many lights you'll fry your stator I see dame goldwingers do it all the time on the older wings.

Default NEON- ground effects for your ATV

Ive had neon on my quads for awhile check out my pics and see if thats what your talking about. If it is then just pick up two 9" redline interior neone tubes from autozone and some velcro and 12V adapter/splitter with two or more plugins and wire 1 end to the battey and velcro the plugs to the frame with the lights. Then when you go on hardcore rides you can just unvelcro the lights from the frame and go. Costs about $50-$60 for all of it.
