Thats not a bad idea. with larger Dia. tires up front its easier for the rear drive wheels to push the fronts over trail objects like logs and rocks .

I 2nd that. I wouldn't run anything less than 23's on the front on mine. I'm MUCH less nervous riding downhill especially a trail littered with rocks. It doesn't affect uphill ability at all. Plus the ballooniness soaks up bumps.

Also front tires tend to run undersize in my experience. Especially dunlops.

20's on back and 23's on front. If I had it to do again, I would have 18's on the back. Ground clearance in the back is overrated.

Here is a 250ex with 22's on back and front. See how much smaller the fronts look? I think this setup looks gay, but with shaft drive I was forced into it because I wanted a higher top speed. It goes faster, but it take a much longer time getting there and the clutch slips a lot more. Also lost the ability to slide. I'm not sure the higher top speed is worth all the problems of a 22 inch tire.

some tires measure differant than others, the ones on randy's quad look pretty good. But all in all i say 1" taller up front is all you need. I've never had a problem going down steep and steep hills, just keep on the rear brake. We have rocks and roots on the trails, rocks anywhere from the size of 2 fists, all the way up, and lots of them!
