fourtrax 300 4x4

i have a mid 90's 300 and it will go fine in first and second gear, but third and up it slips bad. what is the cause of this and what is fix? thanks for your help!!

IMO sounds like the auto.clutch is slipping[the one on the engine].May need to inspect it an replaced drum and shoes.....
