i have a 00 450es i had a 1500pound winch on it and it was stalling out all the time even if i put the bike in gear and helped it along a bit then i went out and baught a new 2000pound winch and does the same maybe the battery doesn't have enough power for it? if anyone knows what the problem is please write back.

Sounds like you might need to check your wiring; make sure your cables are big enough. the contactors are tight and clean enough to carry the current a winch requires.
Assuming your battery and charging system is o.k., you should get full pull with low-resistance wiring (terminals must be thoroughly crimped or soldered, etc., etc.).
You can double your winch's extraction power by using a ****** (or pulley) block; click here: winching tips

a ****** block will definitely help if the load is too much. But I don't think that is the situation. I've had my 1500lb winch on my rancher for a year now and I've had to use the winch many times to retrieve myself and friends. And only once have I ever needed the ****** block (I wouldn't have made it home if I didn't have it). I think your problem is more than likely the eletrical connections or possibly a bad battery. Check all of your connections and if that doesn't work check your battery.

First of all there is a big difference between the rating procedures for a Warn 2000 and a Superwinch 2000. I have a warn and have no problem lifting my 450 off the ground with it, however my partner has a Superwinch 2000 and only dreams of doing things like that with his. Proper wiring will also play a major role in winch operation. Just my observation.

I'm assuming you're wired hot to the battery? When I first installed my Warn 2000 I though I was being smart and I wired the winch to the starter relay, located behind the battery. It was easy to get to and was "hot". After the installation was complete I tried the winch and I could actually stall the winch by hand. At first I thought I had a bad winch then I found out there was not enough amperage for the winch to operate properly the way I had it wired. I re-did the wiring like I was supposed to in the first place, and everything worked as it was supposed to.
If you are in fact wired directly "hot" to your battery, I would also suggest double checking your connections. Also double check the ground for the solenoid. Good luck.
If you're looking for a snatchblock check www.northerntools.com they have a 4 ton block for $15.00.
