Default 2002 honda 400ex clutch actuator problem..

Hey guys, im new to working on quads..But anyway i had to take off the crankcase (right side) and now that its time to put it back together i can not get the clutch lifter/actuator to seat properly. I did actaully get it to seat but but it just didnt seem right..The top where the clutch cable goes into was facing out toward me and not toward the motor. The spring and lifter are fine but can anyone tell me which way its supposed to face (toward me or quad) to get the case to sit properly..Sorry i know im terrible at explaining this, but if anyone could help or direct me to a site that would be great. Thanks.

When you go to put the side cove back on you have to turn the lifter counter clockwise. Place the cover on to the case then release the lifter. The arm on the lifter should face the motor.

Thanks for the help jgar. I got it all put back together and everything seems to be running fine..I'm not sure if its me, but it seems like the clutch is engaging later then it did before. tension is still good and tight. it is easier to put into neutral now..Any advice on that? Or do you think its just me being paranoid?

Could be you, or the clutch cable.
Get a new clutch cable and adjust it so there is 3/8 to 3/4 play in the lever.
After that if it still feels strange, its you.
