I have a friend that wants to trade me a Full GT Thunder exhaust for my new WB e seris slip on. But here is the catch the head pipe has maybe a quater of an inch dent on one of the header pipes maybe more. Also the silencer has 5 inches shaved off for better top end. I need to know what you guys think about this if it is worth it for me or not.

On 2-Strokes a dent like that can make a big difference...on a 4-Stroke, I am not so sure it would affect the power delivery as much.

Either way, I would keep your exhaust ove your bud's...

There are places that specialize in fixing pipes. Ads for these services can be found in dirt bike and atv magazines. "piperepair.com" is one example. These types of places claim they can fix even a completely demolished 2-stroke pipe for $35-40. I would imagine that repairing your 4-stroke head pipe would be significantly cheaper.
