Default 2001 Honda Rubicon will not start

Im new to forum, and do appreciate all the help i can get. I have a 2001 honda Rubicon 500 parked it went back a few days later to install a winch, while installing the winch, the main battery grounded out causing it to arc, didnt blow any fuses. hooked the winch up and it works, but the engine will not start. Replaced new Spark Plug, nothing. I have no power going to the coil, the kill switch is not off.

It will turn the engine over but it will not fire, i have checked i have no fire going to the coil 2 wires going to the coil neither have any power, i have replaced the plug, was told could possibly be the ECM, or voltage regulator.

Yes its possible in either one....Just hav e to narrow down...Are you getting the signal from stator and pluser to ecm? Are you getting signal from startor to voltage regulator? All this happened when you was installing winch? Was there any smoke from wires or just big spark?

Can you explain how to check both, yes while installing the winch it was just a little smoke and spark, like i said it didn't even blow a fuse, i have several pins on the ECM that have power on them, everything else still works, lights, acc plug, even the winch. Just getting no fire to my coil.
