Default 400ex, run carb dry when parked?

Should I run the carb dry before parking my quad for a few weeks or more? As in, turn the fuel pitcock off while its still running and let it run until it dies so there is no fuel sitting in the carb.

In My opinion, a few weeks, no. More than 6 weeks, yes. And run Sta-Bil in it when you plan to store it.

Run the motor until the carb is dry. The small carb bowl would varnish up quicker then the much larger gas tank.
