take a look at your angle sensor. i haven't messed with one, yet, but i've read a lot of posts about it fouling up here in the honda section.

somewhere in this honda section is a thread where a guy went step by step and posted the best way to "clean the angle sensor" which helped him out and it started working again. it was his fix for his quad. i can't remember how far back it goes, but that is worth a search to re-read and follow his advice. i remember finding it a good read when he posted it. it was plum full of useful information. heck, i'll try to look for it and "bump" it or hyperlink it in this thread.

Do you have a service manual?

Invaluable for fault finding. If not take a look at the Honda ATV Forums download page.

Service Manual Downloads - All years - Honda ATV Forum

As others have said commonly the angle sensor will cause this issue and is easy to replace. Moving on from this look at the ES switch and control motor. Both can become dirty and require a good clean.

Hope this helps
