What quad to buy?
#1
My friend wants a high peformance quad but dose not know what to buy? He will be doing woods riding and
trail riding and a little MX plus maby a Trip or two out to Glamis but that is not for sure he was looking at a
400ex and a raptor. He is 6'4 230 pounds and a 400ex and raptor fit him pretty well. He wants somthing
reliable and 4 stroke he wounders if the raptors extra CCs are really worth the extra money over the 400ex. Or
if you can put that money into a 400ex and make it better.
P.S. He has never owned a high peformance quad before just workers

go with the 400ex. The only things the raptor has better is more speed and reverse. Ive seen my buddy ride his raptor in the woods and he has never had it out of 4th back there so its not all that needed. Also you cant beat the 400s handling.

The Raptor for sure it is a bigger machine in engine size and the overall machine is larger should fit a 6'4 guy better. The Raptor is a much faster machine than the EX. And guys don't try to say it isn't, I have witnessed a Raptor with a 16 year old beat every single 400 EX in a 500 foot times grass drag race. The Raptor was noticeable faster, and from what they guys say around here that they handle just as well in the woods as the EX.

I'd have to say that if there isn't a quad out there that haunts his every waking minute, then he probably isn't ready to make the serious finantial commitment it takes to drive away from the dealership with a shiny new machine in the back of his truck.
