I was thinking about tearing apart my front wheel bearings and repacking them. Please tell me if they are sealed so I know whether or not to bother. Thanks.

 

The ones on my 300ex are so im 99.9% sure they are on the 400 too.

 

I just had my front end apart the other day, and yes, the front wheel bearings are sealed. I didn't replace the bearings or rubber seals as they seemed to be okay, so I just put everything back together using a liberal amount of grease to repel any water. The front bearings aren't pressed in either, but they must be driven in/out with a special tool. I suppose you could use something that's near the same diameter...
