I would appreciate some assistance troubleshooting my son's 04 predator 90. The electric start worked earlier this year, now it cranks with no spark. I can start it 2nd or 3rd try on the kick start so I do not believe it is the stator.....not getting a trigger signal to the CDI when cranking on electric start. Any suggestions where to look next?

 

Pull the plastic stator cover and clean the pick up coil face along with the outside of the flywheel.Better if you can remove the flywheel and clean the stator and inside the flywheel with electrical contact cleaner. The kick starter can generate more inertia on starting than the electric starter can.Even belt dust build up in the idle gear assembly that works off the starter can slow down electric starting.A good cleaning with an air gun may help.
