Default Winch & front mount plow on Rancher

Hey all. Hoping for some ideas.

I am in the process of installing a Superwinch Terra 35 and front mount Cycle Country plow on my 2012 Rancher. Problem is the terminals on the winch come in contact with the metal plow mount which obviously causes a short. I've already cut away a bit of the mount so that I can get everything tightened up, but the terminal and mount are still (barely) in contact.

Any ideas? I thought about trying to move the terminals, but am worried about exposing the motor and screwing something up. Is there anything I can use between the terminal and metal to eliminate any conduction? Been messing with it for hours now. Very frustrating.

Thanks in advance.

Without seeing what is going on it is difficult to suggest anything. Rubber and plastic covers for terminals like the old 350 models had on the starter, and you should have on the solenoid, will form a barrier but any movement between mount and terminal post will cause them to fret through.

Looks like I'm hosed. Found several comments on other boards with the same issue. This winch and plow mount apparently not compatible. Returning the winch and have ordered a Warn Vantage 2000. Good luck to me.
