But at least compared to Polaris, Can Am and Arctic Cat, the Grizzly 700 is much lighter. 40-50 lbs might not be noticed but 140-150 lbs is noticeable. 650 lbs for a Grizzly with a full tank of fuel vs 800 lb is a big difference.

What I meant was the added weight of IRS is sure still worth it over SRA. I,m talking its only 45lbs if the two ATVs are the "same" model.

My current 2007 350 Grizzly with IRS sure rides nicer then my old 2007 350 Grizzly that was SRA.

My 700lb 500 Sportsman IRS sure rides nicer then my friends 600lbs 500 Foreman with SRA over any conditions, even he admitted that.

600lb or 700lbs when your dealing with weights like that both are to heavy for body English to come into play while riding them.

If the op was looking at the newer Rubicon that is now IRS he would like it much better for everyday riding. If I was him I would hold off on the 2011 Rubicon and keep a look out for a used 660,550 or 700 Grizzly, ones bond to show up in the listings.

I noticed on my local craigslist the great deals went away as soon as tax season started. People got their tax return money and bought all of them. Some people prefer solid rear axle over irs. Irs does ride better but higher center of gravity and more maintenance required as shafts wear out and boots can easily get torn. Solid rear axles just need fluid changed. As with anything else, try out several models and see what you like the best. Other people can give you their opinions but ultimately you're the one buying, get what YOU like the best. Sometimes an atv will simply "fit" better too. The size, stance, bar placement, foot pegs, etc will feel better than the rest.
