Default Cross Country Tires

Hey all, i have an 07 450er and planning on running maxc again this year however I'm due for some new back tires. I have new razor 2s on the front but want to get some input on the best back tires to go with them. I've looked into razr xcs and razor 2s but wanna know of anything better before i buy. Thanks

razor 2 for mud, original razor for everything else. That is how I usually roll. Actually gbc has some darn good razor knockoffs in the xrex. I actually ran race Rex the a few years ago. The rears were a little slick in the mud but good everywhere else. There are quite a few xc specific tires out now. I am ginger to try the Goldspeed knockoffs this year, but not racing

GBC discontinued the xrex and race rex. They now have the xc masters and race masters which are pretty much the same tire.

I knew that, just getting old, lol. For what it is worth, I have gotten great wear out of the race rexes. Hopefully the newer models are similar.

Also, it is the sti tech 4 xc I have all set to go on my son's 300ex.

Good to know about the wear. I just put a set of the xc masters on my 400ex.

Here is a good site for tire specs, ATV Race Tires : ITP Tires : Maxxis Mudzilla : Kenda Executioner : Mud-Throwers.com they even give you the weights which is a big factor.
