Has anyone lined these two up yet? I'm just curious to see how they stack up against one another.

A blaster would be faster than a 250ex, so if you are only concernd with top speed get a blaster. A 250ex controls every other aspect of riding.

More user friendly
easier to ride
more reliable
reverse
electric start

i would prefer a 250ex over a blaster

We have both. I'm down on the Blaster because it hasn't proven to be real durable. We've had to replace a shift drum (twice), the swingarm cracked (bad), chain adjustment is ludicrous, but the top end is still hanging in there. There are a dozen kids in the neighborhood who have Blasters, and at least one or two are down for repairs all the time! I've let them ride the 250 and they all say it is OK. The Blaster is certainly faster, lighter, more agile, and responds well to mods, but frankly I can't wait to get rid of the thing.

blasters can be a hassle..but look at the cost, 3 grand! Just defending my thoughts here. For 3k get a blaster, take what you save over the 250EX, put a wider axle on it, some works shocks, and you the 250EX will never touch it!
