Default 2007 honda 400ex HELP!

What's up world, I bought a 2007 honda 400ex, I've been riding for about 2 weeks, I was riding trails last night when I stalled turning a tight corner, when I tried to fire her up she just kept turning over and turning over but would not start, so I got pulled to the house, we chalked it up to fouling my spark plug due to running with choke open, ran to lean, so i bought the oem plug, tested it before i removed the old plug and didn't have any spark when holding it against the motor, so my guy said it's either my ignition coil, (which I ordered today) or my CDI box, Which I will order if the ignition coil isn't problem, am I headed In the right direction or no guys, need some help

Obvious I know, but I have done it myself, and I bet most quad users have, did you check the kill switch, it is dead easy to knock it when riding or pushing the bike, and I have started checking the electrical system only to find the switch in the kill position.

Don't buy a CDI until you have tested the electrical system. Yes, it could well be the CDI but it could be lots of other things, from a faulty ignition switch or broken wire, to a faulty regulator, trigger coil or stator. Also a fault somewhere in the system, like a bad earth or regulator can blow the CDI, so you could blow a new CDI if you don't test things first. Get a manual, which will show you how to do the tests.
