Default 2001 Honda Trx400ex starting problem

Ok maybe someone can help me out
2001 Honda trx400ex quad

battery has almost 14 volts when check with meter
new solenoid when you jump it the starter turns and try's to crank
no nuetral light when in nuetral
new battery cables

when my buddy used to push start it it would run you could hit the electric start and you could here it but the lights would flicker and every time you hit the gas they would dim and the nuetral light would do the same

now there is nothing when you try hitting the electric start

fuses have been checked and replaced
any other things I'm missing?!?

"new battery cables"

Well the battery isn't connected to the rest of the bike's electrics, so either the battery earths are bad, or the wire(s) from battery positive to ignition switch are not connected. As the alternator feeds the ignition when the bike is running (that's why the green light comes on) the fault is between battery and the regulator (pos or neg).
