Cdi box help
I have a 1998 300 fourtrax it has a 8 pin plug for the cdi box. I cant find a 8 pin cdi thats under 150$ so I wondering if I can get a cdi box that has the 2 plugins and rewire the old wires to work with the new cdi box

Don't think so. The late type CDI was shared with the 350, so a 350 CDI will fit, but both became unavailable about 5 years ago, and Honda sends a 3 plug replacement, with a bit of loom that converts the single plug and two bullets of the original, to fit the 3 plug CDI.
