Solnoid on Ruby

Where are you putting the solnoids for your winch on your Ruby's

My (former) Honda dealer told me they were stuffing them in the air box & sealing the holes. I didn't like that idea even a little bit & ended up putting mine in the glove / tool box.

Yeah, I wasn't crazy about that airbox idea either. I mounted mine at the very front of the storage compartment.

I put mine in the battery/fuse compartment area. The storage box is not waterproof and the weight of the computer mounted on top of it has already caused my box to rip out the holes where it is bolted to the chassis. The additional weight of the solenoid would not help things in that respect.

Instructions say to mount the solenoid on top of the storage compartment, since the computer is mounted on top of the storage compartment already and I had stuff inside the storage compartment, too. The best spot that I found is behind the right fender and under the black plastic. It is hidden from view.
