I know everyone that owns a Polaris hates Honda
And all Honda owners hate Polaris.
I don't even know why. I happen to own a 2001 yellow 400ex and a 2000 Scrambler 400 4x4. Both of these machines have their high points. I love to race around and jump and ride to my ability all the time to be better but last year all we owned is the Polaris and it’s not made to race. The Polaris is a great machine though. 1:Its ride is a million times better in a trail and going on bumpy areas.2: This last spring break I got stuck on the 400ex 5 times and every time my dad pushed my out-yes I said pushed me out. I have a DG Krome light bumper so he went in the hole deeper than where I was and then where the ex got stuck the scrambler pushed the ex with me on it!
Now I know this will get the Honda people mad
So now I will tell where the ex is better. The ex has handling, jumping, racing, and wheelies. Then some Polaris people want to start stuff saying the Polaris is a sport quad… The Polaris cannot be classified into a group. Maybe u could call it a sportish trail quad. I made this post to clear things up and stop the fighting between riders because riders have to fight enough just to be able to ride!

i won a explorer at my honda shopwhen i bought my rancher an i realy so dont like polaris i did own 1 but after i found out that i realy didnt like it i traded it for a rubi but the rubi had like 900 miles an bald tires
:P oh well now i got 2 honda's an i wont own a different brand of quad

Actually, being a Polaris owner, I'd have to disagree with your statement about all Polaris owners hating Honda. I own a '99 Xplorer 400, but that doesn't mean I don't want a Rancher or a Rubicon. In fact, I REALLY want a Rubicon, namely because it has an awesome transmission, but also because its got a 500cc engine.
I like my Polaris, though, because of the snappy 2-stroke, and because of it's superior 4WD system (you can't argue; 4 tires with power are better than 3).

Am I weird, or just an exception to your theory?

 

We have both brands here on the farm, also. They each have their strong points.
I think most of the brand bashing is started by teen-agers with nothing else to do. They say something like (brand X) SUX just to see what kind of replies they will get. MOST adults will realize that each person gets the machine that they feel is best for THEM and THEIR riding style/preferences/budget, and are just glad to have a brother/sister in the sport of ATVing.

 

Your right Hondapolaris each bike and brand has it's ups and downs,,I never said that my polaris was a fast bike or a race bike and polaris does NOT advertise thier quads as bieng that....
What really pisses me off is that everyone that has a 400ex thinks and says that they are the best and fastest quad ever made..Ive heard guys on this forum saying that they can beat a raptor a cannondale a ds650,,,maybe they can beat these bikes if the guy riding them only has one arm..
I have a polaris now but i have had a other quads in the past..as a matter of fact i was at my local honda yes i said honda dealer today just looking around and i found that the hondas in general are a lot smaller bike than the polariss,,i know smaller means less weight which means faster bikes,,but when i sat on the 250ex my knees almost touched the handle bars and sorry to say it but the 400s are not much better.
I guess what i'm sayin is that i feel much more comfortable on my polaris,yes even though its slower its more comfortable, for me anyways plus it has reverse (a BIG plus) not to mention that its a lot less money..
I do NOT hate you honda boyz like i said one of my best buddies owns an all mighty 400 i just get sick of 400 owners sayin that they can take any quad on the market or at least keep up with it. i'll tell u what it is,,, it's horse****,, just plain old horse****...
Lets just all go ride and have fun and i'll remember that the 400 IS the greatest quad of them all......
