Honda Recon neutral light flashing

I have a Honda Recon that the neutral light flashes but won't start.

The neutral light has to be on for the starter button to work. However if it goes out when you press the start button, accompanied by the solenoid clicking like a buzzer, you have a flat battery, or bad connection at battery, solenoid, or earth.
