I heard someone talking about how you could take the reverse out of a 300ex & put a 6th gear in it & it'd kick ***. I have never heard anybody else say anything about this so is it possible & if so what kinda performance would u gain if any.thanks

It can be done.TC racing does it.I think the guy with the tc405 had it done.I can't remember his name.He had a bad tc405ex and I am pretty sure the had it done.

If I didn't have reverse on my 300ex I would rather have a 400ex anyway.

I just remembered his name.the xotic1.he had it.

TC racing does do the 6th gear. I never had it down. i think it was $800 to do the work. just get a 350x motor if u want 6 gears. thats too much money.
