What don you guys think aboutb this carb. No jet changing, just adjusting. I am thinkingabout this on my 400EX that will soon have a Pro-Circuit Pipe, HRC Cam, JE piston and some port work. A stroker kit is also posible.

I think it sounds great that a company like that is getting into the atv market. This can only mean good for us. I say it looks like and it would really help and no jet changing! If you buy one make sure u say you heard about it on here.

Since the FCR doesn't require any grinding of the throttle housing, I can't get the FCR, because I have all ready done grinding with my Lectron carb. So it looks like I am going to order the Edelbrock. From what the article says it sounds great, and on the website a guy with a 440 put it on his bike and went from 38HP to 41HP, my Lectron might do that all ready, but it is bear to fiddle with.

Sure you can still use the FCR... You just won't have the throttle stop on the thumb throttle itself.

As long as you're not a gorilla and trying real hard to force the throttle to open farther than it will go, it will be fine. The slide in the carb will stop on full throttle.

BTW.. The FCR has a shorter throw than the stock carb

Thanks Gabe for the reply, The FCR is the carb that all the top engine builders are putting on the 400's. I do want the ultimate power for my EX so I better go with the FCR. The only thing that appealed to me on the edelbrock was the no jet changing and the price was right, but I can get an FCR for $429 through LRD. I will probably custom fabricate something in the throttle housing.

What makes the FCR better? The edelbrock sounded good.

i agree man, what makes the fcr so much better....from tests it sounds like they are the same and ive heard nothing but good things out of both....im really thinking about going ahead and ordering a quicksilver from dennis kirk, cause i heard with my built 416 and with the major head work/porting i have, it would be awesome and give my bike so much more ***** and hp.
