I have a 2013 Foreman 500ES 4x4. Today I backed it out of the drive stopped then pressed the gear shifter to go into first and nothing. The "N" is blinking 2 or 3 times so I know its some kind of code. Any help on this.

I assume you have tried switching off, waiting a few min then switching on again? Check if you can change using the emergency shifter, if you can't, the fault is mechanical, with the mechanism in the clutch housing. If you can shift manually, blinking 3 times is Morse code for angle sensor problem on most ES Hondas, but be sure it is 3 blinks, pause then 3 blinks, before going to the expense of a new sensor. Also, a slowing shift motor can throw the same fault, so you could try dismantling the motor and checking for oil contamination and worn brushes first.
