2002 400ex wont turn on
#1
I have a 2002 honda 400ex that is in very good condition. It is completely stock. I recently had a problem with it turning on. I charged the battery and tested it with my battery reader and it read full. But I am unable to turn the key on. No lights turn on when I twist it and I cant do anything. I checked all the fuses, they are good. I cannot figure out what's wrong. Could be something with the ignition but I dont know. I am pretty new to this as its my first bike. Please help.

First job is to check you have live to the switch, disconnect it at the wiring plug and check you have 12v positive on the red wire coming out of the loom. If you don't get power from the red in the loom, it is broken between there and the battery, check if you have power at the fuse. If you are getting power to that red, check the switch shows no resistance between the black wire and the red wire, going to the switch, when the switch is in the on position, if you don't get a circuit, the switch is faulty. There is a fairly decent wiring diagram here
