Default Castle Nut Size

Does anyone know the thread/pitch on the rear axle castle nut of a 2002 Recon. Measured it at 20mm but not sure of threads. Thanks

Probably 1mm pitch. The easy way to check is to take a 6mm dia bolt and lay it alongside the shaft threads. If it is a match, then the thread is 1mm pitch, If it isn't, try an 8mm dia bolt, standard thread on them is 1.25mm pitch.

I found an old axle shaft yesterday, checked and, as I guessed, 1mm pitch, strange how much coarser a 1mm pitch looks on an M6 bolt, than on the M20 of the axle, but when you put them together they match.

I thought the same thing when I compared them. Got them ordered. Should be back up and going soon. Thanks!
