Default 87-91 TRX250X Stock Clutch Mod?

Greetings everyone! New forum member. First time poster. I am on the downhill portion of a complete case split transmission replacement and top end rebuild of an 88 TRX250X for a friend of mine. I was given a Tusk clutch fibers pack by the owner. It was the generic Honda fibers set that comes with 7 plates. The TRX250X only uses 6. When I installed them, I felt like there was plenty of room for one more steel and fiber. I had a spare steel from when I upgraded my 85 ATC250R clutch (the plates are the same part #), so I added it to the pile and installed it. I have not sealed that side of the engine up yet and before I do, I wanted to ask if anyone else has tried this. Will the clutch still disengage enough with the added plates in there? Will it be too much strain on the parts involved? Will the lever pull be too difficult? I don't want to give the engine back to the owner only to have him have to pull the cover off and undo the addition. I am doing this job as a favor, free of charge. But I still want to do it properly.

If I had the bike at my place, I would quickly throw it in and test it. However, I just have the engine. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. On another note, once the build is finished, I will have a decent selection of bottom end parts in perfectly usable condition. I will be posting them for sale in the classified section in the future. The owner is letting me keep whatever money they fetch as payment. Thank you in advance for your input!

This is a great looking quad. Is it mainly for kids/teenagers or is it suitable for adults as well? I mean is it a smaller size than a standard adult sport quad and not as suitable for an adult for decent rides out?
