2005 Honda 400ex will not go

Hi new member here so I have a 2005 Honda trx400ex starts runs good but won't go forward or reverse it just revs up but doesn't go anywhere. Could it be the clutch went out? what could it be?

Could be the clutch, but they usually slip for a while before failing altogether. Sudden loss of drive is often a transmission failure, are you sure the chain is on the drive sprocket?
