Hi Honda Heads! just putting this trx250ex back together for a rebuild for a surprise and I’m stuck on figuring out if this 01 Honda trx 250ex has a Gear change Switch Sensor if yall can help me out I’d appreciate it.

 

Just checked the parts drawing and it shows two switches sticking out of the alternator case, one for neutral light and starter lockout, t'other for reverse light. Later TRX 250s had the rotary gear position switch inside the alternator housing for the digital display, so a cable coming out of alternator housing with a multipin connector on it, one pin for each gear, don't know if the later EX is the same, but yours is too early for that anyway.
