I have a 1987 Honda TRX350D Foreman that is very hard to start. Good spark, Fuel pump and relay ok. On full choke and cranking it wants to start but usually doesn't. Plug mostly dry. Once it starts and runs for a while (20 mins) and engine is hot it will die out and very hard to restart. Must let it go for about an hour and then it will usually start. Vapor lock? carb problems? Anybody experience problems like this? Suggestions. Anybody have a 1987 TRX350D 4x4 Foreman?

Thanks

You might try adjusting the valves, if it has a lot of hours no it. With the age of the unit I would guess it has a fair amount on it. I had the same problem after a valve adjustment the problem went away. Be sure and keep fresh gas it it, or use a additive like "Stabil". I used some old gas in mine, it ran okay untill I shut it off and let it cool down. At the next attempt to start it a valve was stuck open causing it to bend. I know of two other other '87 Foremans that have bent valves from being stuck. I still have mine, with a second one for parts, A great machine for their age. Hope this helps.
