I was just wondering if all the aftermarket cdi boxes for the 400EX were all the same. I was told that everybody uses the one off of the XR250 dirtbike, but then I called a race shop and they told me it was a completely different box. My White Bros box broke on me so I got the CT Rev box, but are they all the same?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

Yes , I think they are all the same at a few lines of code in the eeprom :-)

No really , we tested here on in belgium on the dynotester 3 different CDI boxes with the same honda 400EX.The 3 where WB , Sparksracing and ct . Finaly it turned out that they had almost the same torque and RPM gain , so we figured out that they are almost the same! You gain some addition RPM but the difference with the original is that you gain about 5% power
