Works Performance,PEP,TCS,Elka,or Custom Axis shocks for 400ex??!!
#1
Hi,
I have a 400ex and I know what I want in terms of motor mods, but I can't decide on which shock to get.I'm 5'9" 227 Lbs and ride 6 days a week on trails with huge jumps, lots of whoops, and turns, and on the seventh day I ride in my local dunes and twice a year i'm going to to be riding in Glamis, dumont, and Pismo!!!I'm also going to get Burgard +2" a-arms so I need a shock that will fit the a-arms perfectly!!And i also want tripple rates!!I have a couple of questions on each such as:
1.Which one would best fit the places i ride in and and the +2" a-arms and also my weight?
2.Which one gains the most wheel travel?
3.Should I get the shocks with rezzies, ajustable damping, adjustable preload,or self sagging controll device?
4.Who make a good rear shock?
Some of these questions may sound stupid, but this is my first quad and also i'm new to upgrading!!!
Your info will be greatly appreciated,
Dan

I have TCS fronts the are dual rate springs, with adj compression, rezzies and sag height. I already ordered the new triple rate upgrade and a new TCS rear shock with adj comp, rebound, rezzies and sag. I jump some pretty big jumps and have no problems The TCS are excellent quality, and they will revalve them if you are not satisfied after 30 days. Also, you dont have to wait forever after you order them like you do with PEP. I got my fronts in less than 3 weeks, and should get my rear in about 4 weeks from this past monday, along with the triple rate upgrade for the front.
