Check out my front brakes last night. I thought it was the pads.....not the problem. The brake lever goes all the way in and only moves the pads maybe 1/16". There is hardly any back pressure on the lever at all. I open the bleeder valve and fluid came out immediately (both sides), brake fluid was not low.

Any Idea's ???

Well if they don't need bled they need to be adjusted. I think there are 2 rubber caps on the drum. Pop them off and theres a **** you turn I think.

Have you checked the wheel bearings on it yet? Once I had a quad with disc brakes up front and when one of the wheel bearings started wearing down it would let the wheel move enough to push the pads away from the rotor. Only I found out I had no brakes just before going into a steep curve, almost lost my 4-wheeler that day cuz I had already bailed before it started over the side of the mountain. Thank goodness for trees, one little tree caught the front of my quad as it started over the side.

Of course then I could pump up the brakes and they would stop you some, if you had time to pump. My friend had a suzuki with bad wheel bearings up front and you could pump his all day and they wouldn't get any better. Its something worth checking out.

sounds like a problem i have too on my 95 trx300. the pads are still good and i've adjusted them and i can't the tires to lock up. i need to pump the brake lever about 4 times to get the machine to stop. i've bled the lines by pouring the brake fluid into master cylinder while the other end drained into a container while pumping the lever very slowly and careful not to let any bubbles get sucked down into the lines. still haven't got the brakes to work any better. i gave up - dana
