350ex?

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
This can and often HAS been done; you'll burn.
But you'll need other modifications, LIKE SUSPENSION ! check out project quads in the past forums. I'm sure this has been explained.
I have a question for you: WHERE DO YOU GET A NICE NEW 350X motor?

Look into putting the top end of a 350x onto your 300's bottom. I have seen both disassembled and THINK it can be done. I just couldnt find anyone knowledgeable to tell me if it would work. Now I dont have my 300 anymore. Call someone at Four Stroke Tech, thats what I was gonna do.

ATV-Sport dropped a 350x engine into a 250x frame about a year+ ago.
With stock 250x suspension & geometry, it wheelied uncontrollably...so the same would happen to you.
Yes, it is possible, but you will need to widen and lengthen your 300EX in order to make the power useable. If you try it, I would put $$$ on your taking stock 400EX's....not by much, but you will.

yeah in2atvn, e-mail that article I would really like to know more about it. One of my buddies has a freshly rebuilt 350x engine and he wants to work out a deal with me.

yes but the only reason it wheelied uncontrollably is because they bored and stroked the engine to either 465 or 475. and plus the other engine goodies. if you can find an engine cheap enough i'd say it is a good deal. the 350X stock engines run pretty strong, but not as well as a 400ex.
