I don't know if the tank cools by 12 degrees or not but I have had mine over a year and have had no problems. It has to help having more oil to keep the temp down. I bought mine because I want to do anything I can to keep that high dollar 440 motor running well.

where do you buy these - who else makes after market oil tanks for the 400ex.

i just busted mine - and the dealer wants 190 for one - the after market ones have to be cheaper, right ? and better

did you bust yours while taking the drain bolt out? If so I heard honda is really good about warranting these because of how many people have busted them.

call 310-532-9811. That is honda motorcycle warranty dept. Have your vin number of your bike and then just explain your problem and how you have heard of many other people having the same problem.
