I need to replace my stock bars on my 2000 400EX. I was planning on getting a set of Renthal bars but i am curious about what type of bends people like. I am about 6 feet tall, 165 lbs. Thanks for your advice!

There are tons of options out there and it's kind of based on what you like. Personally, I don't care for the cycle MX bars like the Renthals or even the Protapers or tags. They are too low and you will loose leverage on the bars and place your weight further forward making it harder to wheelie. They also extend your arms further.
I actually just put a new set of bars on last night. I went with FMF 909 atv race bars. They are a little lower than the stockers but taller than the 909 cycle bars, kind of a nice compromise. They seem to be pretty well constructed, anodized finish. My buddy has the cycle 909's and I think they are just too low. They cost about $70.00.
I guess your really only limited by personal preference and how much you want to spend. Just my opinion, hope it helps.

I went with the tags. The suzuki RM hi bend. I like a wide bar and they are 805 mm wide, which converts to a little over 31.5 inches. They sit lower than the stock 400ex bars, but not so low that it's auckward. I feel that I have more control over the bike with the wide bars.
If you are happy with the bend of the stock bars, go with the Renthal 400ex bend. They replicate the stocks. You can even put the plastic tupperware back over top of the clamp with the Renthals.
It's all in personal preference. Pick out a bar that makes you happy.
