I've used Goop which worked good. I've also done the warm water trick which worked & the hairspray trick worked good too. I would the first thing you need is new grips. Get a new set & a fresh start & try it.

Here is where the experience of a PWC rider will really help. The following process will allow you to ride in about 5 minutes.

1. Clean the bar of all old glue
2. Sand the bar surface with 220 grit wet dry sand paper
3. Clean the bar again with acetone or some other solvent like brake cleaner
4. Clean the inside of the grip, especially the new grip since it has a mold release agent on the inside surface
5. Get a tube of ThreeBond Grip adhesive and squirt some in the grip and squeeze the grip to make sure the entire surface is covered
6. Apply a very small amount of the adhesive to the bar (don't cover the thing)
7. Get some superglue (any brand) and ad 1/2 of the tube to the inside of each grip (one at a time) in such a way as to cause it to run down the grip in lines.
8. Very quickly slid the grip on the bar and give it a small twist
9. In about 5 seconds the grip will be permanent

The reason why this works so well has to do with the superglue causing the ThreeBond to change its chemical structure. I have used this process for years -- learned it from Ken Klus, the owner of that old PWS company called Ocean Pro.

Another system that also works but requires a day to dry is JB weld. Clean the grip as described above and then rough up the inside of the grip with a file. Apply JB to the grip and the bar. Install and wait till the next day to ride. This process will even work with the high silicon content soft grips.

Good Luck.
